Yellowknife Airport (YZF) is proud to announce a significant milestone with an 18% increase in passenger traffic recorded for 2024 compared to the previous year. This growth reaffirms its status as the primary hub for the Northwest Territories and the North.

In 2024, YZF welcomed 604,000 passengers. This growth was driven by increased regional travel, expanded airline routes, more flight frequencies, and heightened interest in tourism and business opportunities in the area.

Parking and airport fees at the Yellowknife Airport (YZF) will increase on July 1, 2025 following the amendment of the Public Airports Fees and Public Airports Traffic Regulations.

The proposed changes aim to better align YZF’s fees with comparable airports across Canada, ensuring the airport remains financially sustainable while providing high-quality services. The previous airport fee increase was in 2017.
