Baggage check-in & carry-on
You may check your baggage at your airline check-in counter in the departure area. Please check with your airline to confirm the number, size, and baggage weight limits.

Baggage Carousels
Two baggage carousels are located on the main floor of the terminal, as outlined on the terminal map. Your checked bag will appear on either carousel shortly after your flight has arrived.
Lost/Damaged bags
If your checked baggage does not arrive or arrives damaged, get in touch with your airline to submit a baggage claim. Airline staff can be found on the main floor of the terminal building. For contact information, please visit Airlines.

Baggage Assistance
For Passengers needing baggage assistance prior to their departure, please call the YZF Security Office at 867-873-0657 or pre-arrange assistance by emailing YZFaccessibility@gov.nt.ca. It is recommended you call in advance to pre-arrange assistance. Upon arrival at Yellowknife Airport, staff are happy to accommodate and assist passengers who need transporting their baggage to curbside transportation.
Oversized bags
YZF has a separate baggage handling system for larger items. After checking in, your airline will direct you to take your oversized baggage to the designated drop area. This is located at the end of the check-in area.
